Texas Tech System Celebrates Vision & Tradition Campaign Announcement

With a shower of red confetti, the Texas Tech University System celebrated the announcement of Vision & Tradition: The Campaign for Texas Tech on Sept. 17 with a black tie gala at Texas Tech University’s United Spirit Arena.

The event was underwritten by Texas Tech University alumni Mark and Becky Lanier who felt it was important that the Texas Tech University System commemorate the start of the campaign’s public phase and its record-setting progress. Mark Lanier is the founder and lead litigation counsel of The Lanier Law Firm.

Texas Tech University System Chancellor Kent Hance thanked the donors in attendance for their generosity and support. He also spoke about the historic significance of the $1 billion fundraising effort - the largest in Texas Tech’s history - and about the impact this campaign would have on generations of students, faculty and staff across the university system.
