Angelo State University Surpasses Expectations, Raises Campaign Goal

Record gifts to Angelo State University have shattered previous fundraising totals and helped the institution reach it’s $25 million goal for the Vision & Tradition campaign more than 18 months ahead of schedule.

At a Jan. 19 event celebrating Angelo State University’s campaign accomplishments, Hance and Angelo State University President Joseph C. Rallo, announced that the university was raising its campaign goal to $35 million. Because of the overwhelming generosity of alumni and supporters, campaign officials and university leaders are confident that Angelo State University will meet the new challenge by the end of the campaign.

“We are thrilled with the success and growth at Angelo State University,” said Texas Tech University System Chancellor Kent Hance. “Angelo State’s alumni and supporters understand the tremendous opportunities that lie ahead for their university and continue to show their support by giving to this campaign in record amounts.”

Donations to the institution reached $7.7 million for the 2011 fiscal year and set a new record for the highest annual fundraising total in the university’s history - easily besting the previous mark of $4.9 million set in 2008. For 2012, donors have already contributed more than $6.1 million, helping the university surpass the $5 million mark for the second consecutive year.
