Chancellor’s Council Honors Top Educator, Reseacher at Angelo State University

Recognizing high achievement in education and research, Texas Tech University System Chancellor Robert L. Duncan named the Angelo State University recipients of the Chancellor’s Council distinguished faculty awards at during a campus ceremony on Jan. 27.

“It is truly exciting to be able to present our dedicated faculty members with these honors,” said Duncan. “The accomplishments of these faculty members and the impact they leave on their students make them a vital asset to our team.”

The annual awards are the highest faculty honors given by the Texas Tech University System and are awarded for achievement in teaching and research. Recipients receive a commemorative medallion that feature’s the system’s seal as well as a $5,000 award. The awards are provided by the Chancellor’s Council, which raises funds to support the strategic priorities of the chancellor and the Texas Tech University System.
