PlainsCapital Bank Makes $1M Gift to Support Texas Tech Sports Performance Center

Texas Tech University Athletics officials announced a $1 million gift from PlainsCapital Bank supporting The Campaign for Fearless Champions today. The gift will support construction of the planned Sports Performance Center, which will house the new indoor track and indoor football practice facilities.

“PlainsCapital Bank is an outstanding partner and long-time friend of Texas Tech Athletics,” said Kirby Hocutt, director of Athletics. “Their sustained philanthropic support has been an important part of our past success and we appreciate their continued commitment to the future of our athletic programs.”

PlainsCapital Bank is the fifth-largest bank in Texas based on deposit market share. They have a statewide presence with more than 60 locations in markets such as Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, Laredo, Lubbock, the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
