Chancellor’s Council Honors Top Faculty With Teaching and Research Awards

Underscoring the contributions faculty make to further the Texas Tech University System’s impact on our state and the world, Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., honored 12 educators and researchers with the Chancellor’s Council Distinguished Teaching and Research Awards. Presented to individuals who demonstrate academic excellence, the recognitions are the system’s most prestigious faculty awards.

“Faculty across the Texas Tech University System provide our students a world-class educational experience,” Mitchell said. “The dedication to excellence and commitment to advancing our institutions is what places each of these award winners among the leading educators and researchers in our university system.
